Ohlame is a luhya word meaning "Just Pray" and so is the moral behind the song. Encourages one to just pray even when things don't seem like they make sense, when you look around and even wonder if God exists but just put your trust in Him for He is always there, He never changes He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
