An advanced Pilates exercise used to strengthen the oblique abdominals and gluteus medius (side buttock muscle).
Exercise Visualisation:
Use the abs to float the body up to a side sitting position.
Exercise Watch Points:
On the first part of the ab lift, look towards the ceiling. Don’t push the head down towards the floor. On the second version of the exercise keep the leg off the floor, toes down heal up to engage the side buttock muscles.
